Information for McLennan County residents on available tax forms and assistance.
If you require face-to-face service at the Waco IRS office, call 844-545-5640 to schedule an appointment.
Once you make an appointment, you will receive an automated email confirming the day and time of your appointment.
Each year the library requests IRS forms to make available to the public.
All of our branches currently have the 1040 form and 1040 instruction booklet.
Where can I get help filing my taxes?
Local Tax Assistance by VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program) is offered at the following locations:
La Vega High School - Tax assistance begins January 21, 2021 and will be offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30-6:30 pm.
University High School - Tax assistance begins January 26, 2021 and will be offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5-8:30 pm.
AARP Tax-Aide Program in association with NeighborWorks will offer tax prep assistance through April 15th at the following locations. You must make an appointment ahead of time by calling (254) 307-2944 and masks are required.
NeighborWorks (922 Franklin Ave.) - Mondays and Wednesdays from 11a-4p.
First Baptist Church of Hewitt (301 S. First St., Hewitt, TX) - Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11am-4p.
First United Methodist Church of Fairfield (201 N. Mount St., Fairfield, TX) - Thursdays from 9a-2p.
